Welcome to the Heartrack On-line Program
Heartrack is a Heart Risk Evaluation Program originally developed by the Baker Medical Research Institute Melbourne, one of Australia’s leading heart research centres, and adapted by Public Health Management P/L for use in the wider community. The aim of your assessment is to calculate your risk of suffering from a heart attack and more importantly to determine lifestyle changes that will reduce your risk of developing a heart attack in the future.
Who can use Heartrack On-line
Heartrack On-line has been developed to allow volunteers, where-ever they may be in the State, access to a health assessment program sponsored by their Volunteer Agency. Before you can complete the on-line assessment you will need to gather some health information, including your height, weight, blood pressure and some blood tests You will require a Company code to register on Heart Track, the company code is in the booklet sent to station/unit, or can be sourced by emailing your request to p.langridge@cfa.vic.gov.au
Heartrack On-line includes the following health assessment tools
A self-assessment questionnaire that highlights lifestyle factors which could contribute to a high risk of developing heart disease. Coronary Risk Assessment: an age and sex specific percentile score derived from the multiple risk factors of blood pressure, blood cholesterol and cigarette smoking. This risk assessment rates your chance of having a heart attack compared to other people of same age. A score over 50% is above average and a score over 80% is regarded as a high risk. An absolute risk assessment: this calculates your risk of having a heart attack, the lower the score the better!
